God Bless the USA Bible pays Trump $208,486 in 2025
Trump’s 2025 financial disclosure reported $208,486 in royalties from the Bible he endorses alongside singer Lee Greenwood, down from about $1.3 million in 2024. The money is paid to CIC Ventures, where Trump is listed as manager, president, secretary and treasurer. The two-year total is more than $1.5 million.
What happened
Trump began promoting the God Bless the USA Bible during Easter 2024, telling supporters “every American needs a Bible in their home.“ It is a King James Bible packaged with the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, the Pledge of Allegiance and the lyrics to Lee Greenwood’s song, and it is marketed as the only Bible he endorses. Premium editions, including “Inauguration Day” and “America 250” versions, sell for $99 or more.
Royalties are paid to CIC Ventures LLC, a licensing company owned by the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, in which Trump is listed as manager, president, secretary and treasurer. His disclosure released in June 2025, covering 2024, reported $1,306,035 from the Bible. His disclosure for 2025, released by the Office of Government Ethics on June 30, 2026, reported $208,486. The disclosed two-year total is $1,514,521.
Who benefited
Trump holds every listed office at CIC Ventures, and his trust owns it outright. Lee Greenwood, whose song gives the product its name, is a partner in the venture. The $208,486 is counted as cash to the family.
Who wanted something
The record names no counterparty with business before the government. The money comes from buyers of the Bible: supporters paying for a product sold on the president’s endorsement, with premium editions at $99 or more.
Who lost out
No public money is involved. Watchdogs including the Freedom From Religion Foundation object to a sitting president drawing royalties from religious merchandise bearing his name and endorsement, and to his using the office to promote it.
Why it matters
The president personally earns royalties from a Bible sold on his endorsement, $1,514,521 over two years. The amount fell sharply in 2025, to $208,486 from $1,306,035. The arrangement continued through his time in office and is reported only once a year.
