Mar-a-Lago revenue hits $77.5M with a $1M initiation fee
Trump’s 2025 financial disclosure showed Mar-a-Lago generated nearly $77.5 million in income, more than 50% above 2024 and roughly triple its 2020 revenue. The initiation fee reached $1 million. Before his first term, it was $100,000.
What happened
Mar-a-Lago is Trump’s private club and residence in Palm Beach, Florida. His 2025 financial disclosure, released June 30, 2026, showed the club generated nearly $77.5 million in revenue in 2025, more than 50% above the roughly $50 million reported for 2024 and about three times what it brought in during 2020. The $77.5 million is revenue as reported on the disclosure, not profit.
The club raised its initiation fee to $1 million in 2024, shortly before Trump’s reelection. Before he first ran for president the fee was $100,000. Club management said the increase reflected limited openings and demand.
Trump hosts dinners, meetings and fundraisers at the club and holds court on its patio. Legal and ethics experts say the jump in revenue reflects people seeking proximity to the president. The White House says the president’s assets are held in a trust managed by his children.
Who benefited
Trump owns the club, and his disclosed income includes its $77.5 million in revenue. The figure is counted in his personal take. The club also serves as his residence and the site of official and political business.
Who wanted something
Members and prospective members paid $1 million to join, and groups booked events there. The record does not name them or say what business they had before the government. Membership lists are not public.
Who lost out
The record names no public cost. A private club the president owns sells proximity to him at $1 million a membership, and the public does not know who is paying. Taxpayers do fund the Secret Service presence that makes the club a destination.
Why it matters
Access to the sitting president at his private club costs $1 million to join. The club’s revenue has roughly tripled since 2020 and rose more than 50% in his first year back in office. The initiation fee is ten times what it was before he first ran.
