What happened

Trump National Doral, the resort Trump owns in Miami, generated $121,861,496 in golf and hotel related revenue in 2025. His financial disclosure, released June 30, 2026, shows it. That was up from about $110 million in 2024 and was the largest single revenue line among the 16 golf properties in the Trump Golf portfolio.

In April 2025, Doral hosted LIV Golf Miami, an event on the tour backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, and Trump attended. On September 5, 2025, Trump announced from the Oval Office that Doral would host the G20 leaders’ summit in December 2026, citing its proximity to the airport. The White House said the resort would host it at cost and take no profit from the State Department or foreign governments.

Trump had tried to place the 2020 G7 at Doral and dropped the plan amid criticism. In 2026 Doral hosted a PGA Tour event for the first time since 2016. The Doral figure is included in the roughly $395 million total for Trump’s golf businesses, so this record does not count it a second time.

Who benefited

Trump owns Doral personally and collects its revenue. The G20 summit he placed there is scheduled for December 2026 and contributed nothing to the 2025 figure. Any official spending it brings will show up in the 2026 disclosure.

Who wanted something

LIV Golf, backed by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, held its Miami event at the president’s resort with the president in attendance. The G20 venue, announced September 5, 2025 for December 2026, was the president’s own decision.

Who lost out

A G20 summit is an official government event, secured and supported with public money, and the president placed it at a resort he owns. The “at cost” promise has not been independently audited. Any other venue that might have hosted it lost out too.

Why it matters

Doral’s $122 million in 2025 revenue, the largest line in the president’s golf business, flows to him personally and was boosted by Saudi-backed LIV golf. Only a sitting president can direct a G20 summit to his own resort. That summit comes in December 2026 and its revenue is not in this figure.
