Trump Tower Hyderabad launched as India footprint grows
On April 30, 2025, Indian press reported that Tribeca Developers, the Trump Organization’s Indian licensing partner, and Ira Realty would build Trump Towers on a 4-acre site in Hyderabad’s Kokapet district, a project described as about $410 million with roughly 400 luxury units.
What happened
On April 30, 2025, Hyderabad newspapers reported that Trump Towers would come to Kokapet, the city’s most expensive new district. The developers were Tribeca Developers, which has been the Trump Organization’s licensing partner in India since 2012, and Ira Realty. The project was described as about $410 million, on 4 acres, with around 400 luxury apartments.
The Trump Organization’s role in India is to license its name; local developers buy the land, build and sell. The fee is not disclosed. The project was formally launched on August 11, 2026 as two 65-storey glass towers joined by a sky bridge, with more than 450 residences and construction cost put at $210 million to $235 million.
By then developers reported a penthouse sold for about $7.3 million. It is the eighth Trump-branded project in India, following Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, Kolkata and Noida, and part of a six-city expansion the Trump Organization announced in November 2024, weeks after the election. Eric Trump was expected at an October 2026 launch event.
Who benefited
The Trump Organization and Trump personally took a $1.5 million licence fee in 2025 through DT Marks Hyderabad LLC, with no capital at risk. Trump family members own 20% of the entity. Tribeca, IRA Realty and Reliance 4IR Realty gain the brand for a project they value at $410 million in sales.
Who wanted something
Tribeca Developers and Ira Realty pay for the right to market luxury apartments as Trump Towers. The record does not show they had a matter before the U.S. government; their country was in trade negotiations with the administration through 2025.
Who lost out
No public money is in this record. What is missing is the number: how much a foreign developer pays the president’s family for each project is private, so the public cannot see what the president earns from a country his administration was negotiating with.
Why it matters
The Trump brand’s expansion in India was announced weeks after the election and kept growing through trade talks between Washington and New Delhi. Each project adds an undisclosed payment to the president’s family. The $410 million is what the developers expect to sell; the family’s cut is not public.
