ICE's top contractor CSI Aviation collected $1.23 billion in year one
CSI Aviation, ICE's largest contractor for deportation flights, saw its ICE revenue rise 238% to $1.23 billion in the first year of Trump's second term.
What happened
A POGO Investigates/Investigative Reporting Workshop analysis of USAspending.gov data found CSI Aviation's ICE obligations rose from $363.9M to $1.23 billion between the year before and after Trump's January 20, 2025 inauguration. CEO Allen Weh, his wife and daughter contributed $460,000 to Trump's 2024 campaign, and the company hosted a Trump rally days before the election. The figure is obligated dollars for the period; the company denies any link between donations and contracts. Public-cost figure, not money to the Trump family.
Why it matters
ICE deportation-flight contractor CSI Aviation collected about $1.23B while its CEO and family gave roughly $460K to the 2024 Trump campaign. Large government payments to a firm whose owners were significant donors raise contracting-favoritism concerns.
